Our primary achievement at Koshish Foundation is that we have successfully imparted vocational training to 450 oppressed girls/women and given them ample confidence, made them self reliant, self sufficient and self motivated. Today they can earn nearly Rs. 1,500 to Rs. 2,500/- per month (depending on their individual capability and quality time spent). They have over the period of time become self dependent and thus very important earning member of their house hold so they have learnt to live with their heads held high and their spirits souring. As they can earn their own living thus the early marriage syndrome has been broken and natural family planning is implemented. Now the birth of girl child is not a matter of sorrow but an occasion for happiness. The lopsided men-women ratio which is a subject of utmost concern in India is becoming a thing of past in this village.
