Girls Charitable Trust

The Plight of the girl child in India has become a major concern today. She is unfed, uneducated, uncared for, unattended, undernourished and undermined. She is not supposed to dream, think big, decide her future or even make a point as she grows up in an environment that is not only alien but is also harmful to her. Adequate Vocational Training, primary healthcare, basic education, proper nourishment, a healthy environment to learn, grow and blossom are some of the factors that will go a long way in establishing the girl child as a boon and not a curse. What she needs is a helping hand, that elusive springboard for her success, development and prosperity . And it is time, she gets it.

The story
of the girl children and women of the backward hamlets of Doiwala Village, Uttranchal are no different from the rest of the country
